Need some help with your horse? Wedgewood Farms is here to help in a non-invasive way. The goal is to keep the horse happy and willing; we do not want to force the horse into submission.

We provide full training in under saddle, halter, and ground work to get you where you want to go.

Trainers

While managing the barn, Kathrine also trains. She has trained several horses in halter and under saddle, giving them a sound start to their show or pleasure riding career. Kathrine's mother Josephine also helps to coach Kathrine on new mounts to add a different perspective. Furthermore, Kathrine's daughter Cynthia is also around to help ride as assistant trainer.

Halter Achievements:

The following horses were trained by Kathrine Gilker in hand and have gone on to win the following achievements:

•   C Dreams Dance won Unanimous Champion Fillies at Scottsdale and at the Region 17 Arabian Horse Show 2003
• Fast Fortune won Overall Champion Thoroughbred Stallion 1999 & 2000 at the TAHSHA shows
• Calypso Armante won Region 17 Arabian Sport Horse Stallion Reserve Champion 2003 and 2006
• Khalife's Wind of Legacy won Western Canadian Breeders Champion 2 year old filly with her junior owner/handler Kayla Mills
• Eli was Overall Champion Half Thoroughbred 1999 & 2000 at the TAHSHA show.

Furthermore, Kathrine also provides training under saddle. She specializes in training Thoroughbred's off the track and also in the Arabian and Sport Horse divisions.

She has won the Open Show Hack riding sidesaddle at the Amherst Dressage and Hack Show. Furthermore, riding Chicks Candyman, she won the Paint Open Hunter Under Saddle and English Pleasure at the PNE and at the Paint Shows. She has also won several titles at the Arabian shows in Show Hack, Dressage, Sport Horse, Hunter under saddle, Side saddle, Costume, Western Pleasure, and Country Pleasure.

 Kathrine and Fast Fortune winning the Stallion Thoroughbred Championship. She bred and raised Fast Fortune; he won this title 5 times in 1999 and 2000.
